Made In Aprile

Katherine (b. San Antonio, Texas) is a 24-year-old artist currently based in New York City. Interested in the arts since toddlerhood, she was the kind of child who confidently announced that art was the one thing she truly understood—never a jack of all trades, but happily competent at her chosen one.

She studied graffiti at Artpace San Antonio and attended summer intensives at the Fine Art Academy of San Antonio, focusing on figure drawing and oil painting. Katherine later earned her degree from Southwestern University, where she studied Environmental Studies with a concentration in Sustainability and a minor in English Literature. While she didn’t formally pursue fine arts at the collegiate level, she continued building her visual practice through coursework in art history and drawing.

After graduating, Katherine spent time in Los Angeles before settling in New York City, where she works as an Assistant Store Manager for a luxury retailer. She primarily works in oil paint, colored pencil, and gouache, with experience in digital art. She currently runs an Etsy shop creating custom stationery for weddings and events, with plans to expand into physical art pieces.
